They will be eligible for special immigration privileges, such as the ability to bring family members into the country. If they commit a crime, they cannot be deported. Increase the size of the workforce to increase potential economic output. Immigration also helps increase productivity. Immigrants contribute to population growth through their own numbers and higher-than-average fertility rates. Most immigrants are working-age adults, so immigrants are more likely to have children than U.S.-born residents, which can allow children born to change their nationality.
Regarding current trends, international immigrants account for 3.5% of the global population, up from 2.8% in 2000. in 2019, North America accounts for 59 million within the region. Demographics and the economy will influence future national trends, allowing more people to have jobs, higher employment rates and a higher standard of living.
