A student is using the completing the square method to transform the equation x2-10x+ 36 = 0 to the form (x-h) 2+k = 0. which step would give him the correct answer?

But, here he goes !!

[tex]( {x}^{2} - 10x + 36)[/tex]

[tex] = ( {x}^{2} - 2(x)(5) + {(5)}^{2} ) + 11[/tex]

[tex] = (x - 5)^{2} + 11[/tex]

✓ So, h = 5 ; k = 11 would make him correct
