The attitude of Jill is an example of conformity as he wanted to go with the opinion of other class students so that he can be the part of others interest and do not look alike a odd one out among them. Conformity is the act of matching attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors to group norms or politics. Norms can be categorized as the specific rules or beliefs shared by a group of individuals that tell their interests to others.
People generally choose to go with the decision of society/others rather than to follow their personal decision because it is often easier to follow or be a part of someone’s decision that already created. In other words sometimes they don’t want to separate themselves from others.
