Lancelot is obviously a heartthrob given that most women fall for him - the most famous of which is of course King Arthur's wife, Guinevere. Tennyson included Lancelot as a temptation for Lady of Shalott - he wanted to test her resolve to stay in the tower, however, she failed because she fell in love with Lancelot, and therefore she died due to her curse.
