a hero is someone you look up to, right?? if someone says to you “i will...” “i will...” “i will...” it makes them sound stronger than if they were to just say “i will” once.
An author can use repetition to show the traits of a heroic character to make readers connect with their stories and characters.
Repetition is a resource often used in fiction, for it can emphasize setting, enhance a character trait (it can be used as a punctual catch phrase, for example - which brings familiarity and a more in depth personality), and also draw attention to a minor detail. Repetition can make an idea clearer and more memorable, drive the reader deeper into the events; it is a great rhetoric tool.
