Hypothalamus which is targeted by thyroxine and is secreted by the thyroid gland is considered s tropic hormone.Adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) is the hormone which stimulates cortisol from the adrenal gland. ACTH is the hormone which stimulates the release of steroid hormone and targets cells that produce hormones that affect glucose metabolism in the adrenal gland.
