Well for starters they are both tribes

The differences that present are that the Kogui are sedentary, that is, they live permanently in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Maria, Colombia. On the other hand, the Masai are considered seminomads because they migrate with their houses and belongings in search of food and land.

Another difference is that the basis of the Kogui economy is agriculture, where each family moved to cultivate small lots ( they grow potatoes, corn, ect). The economy of the Masai tribe is based exclusively on fighting and stealing cattle from neighboring tribes.

The Masai dress with striking fabrics and with colorful pendants and earings , while the Kogui dress with Yakna, which is a thick clothing woven by themselves, which consist of a shirt and pants.

Another difference is that the Masai can marry as many women as it considers appropriate, it is a society that tolerates polygamy and even promiscuity, as long as it can support all of them, whereas the Kogui are monogamous, that is, they have only one person.

The similarities they present are that they speak their own language (the Masai speak english apart). Another similarity they present is the belief of their own god ( for the Kogui it is Jaba who manages nature and for the Masai it is Negai which brings them the rains).
