The continents have been moving, are moving and will continue to move in the future. The reason for that is the intense pressure from the Earth's inside, it managed to break the core of the Earth into multiple pieces, and with the immense pressure and force it moves the continents constantly and make them collide, subdue and move from one another. For example, the Pacific Ocean is getting smaller cause it's softer continental plate is subduing beneath both the Eurasian and North American harder continental plates, which are moving towards each other.
