150*0.08(8%)=12
150+12=162
With discount:
First ring:$50
Second ring:
50+37.50+25
50*0.25=12.50
50-12.50=$37.50
Third ring:
50*0.50=25
50-25=$25
With the discount: $112.50
Now to add the tax
Originally:
150*0.08=12
150+12=$162
With the discount:
112.5*0.08=9
112.5+9=$121.50
Subtract to find how much Tracy saved:
$162-$121.50= $40.50
