The answer is weight cycling. This is also called yoyo dieting which also resembles the upward and downward movement of yoyo. In this situation, the person who wants to diet is initially successful in his/her pursuit of weight loss but unsuccessful in maintaining the loss in long term. This result in going back to original weight or more. The person will try to loss again the weight that was gained and the cycle will start all over again. There are various causes for this condition such as depression, fatigue. There were no evidence of its adverse effect to health however, this can alter the basic metabolism of our body.
