If you have a family history of anything, it's likely to be passed down to you. Looking through your records, whatever you're there for, it's imperative you're checked or screened for symptoms of heart disease.
Like any other disease, catching it early is very important. As I said before if it runs in the family, it's likely you have it, and they would screen you so nothing gets worse. In fact, that's the point of medical records. If you're there because you're sick or injured and they see you have a family history of x disease, they cant prescribe certain medications to you, and having the doctor know that is very important.
