The Leatherstocking Tales is a series of five novels written by James Fenimore Cooper, an American writer that lived during the first half of the nineteenth century. Besides The Last of the Mohicans, The Pathfinder and The Deerslayer, there are two more novels that are part of this series: The Pioneers and The Prairie. Moreover, all of them are set in the eighteenth century and have Natty Bumppo as the main character. The first one to be published was The Pioneers in 1823.
