1.) Romanticism was all about the feelings. Nature was especially important, and they did not like the mathematics. For example Walt Whitman was an american author during the romanticism period, and he wrote "when i heard the learn'd astronomer", which portrayed the general feelings of malice to those who viewed the world through the lens of reason.
2.) Rousseau and Kant made many individuals question and appreciate their individuality.Their writing spread their beliefs clearly and effectively.
