The blaring from my alarm woke me from my slumber on that cool fall morning. I allowed myself to shift my weight just a bit to hit the snooze button, and my eyes closed once more. Sleep eluded my senses, but before I could give into the sandman's tune, a gentle tugging at the blankets startled me awake. My mother had begun to make my bed with me still in it. Stop I wanted to shout. Let me sleep. However sleep would never come to me again, as I had departed from the world early that morning. Giving in to the pull of the underworld, and the promise of no more.
