PLZZZ HELPP

Your family is going on a road trip to Disney World!
On Day 1, you traveled x miles.
On Day 2, you drove 58 miles more than 3 times the miles on Day 1.
On Day 3, your family went 25 fewer miles than Day 1.

1.Write an expression that represents the miles traveled for Day 1 + Day 2 + Day 3.

2. Simplify your expression by combining like terms.

3. If your family drove 100 miles on Day 1, how many total miles did your family travel from your home to Disney World?

Respuesta :

First we will have to transform the information into mathematical expressions for each day. We will note the number of miles from the first day with x. Than, the number of miles walked in the second day would be 58 miles + 3*x. The third day will be considered x-25 based on the thesis.

1) So the full expression: Day 1 + Day 2 + Day 3 = x + 58 + 3x + x - 25.
2) We will simplify the expression by this: x + 3x + x + 58 - 25 = 5x + 33.
3) So the x=100. We will replace it in in the formula from 2) and we will have the quation 5x + 33 = 5*100 + 33 = 533 miles.
