Farmer Brown has sprayed his fields to kill the grasshoppers eating the grass in his pastures. Predict what will happen to the other living things in this food chain. Will their number increase or decrease and why?

The other things in the food chain are- Grass,snake,hawk and mushrooms

If Farmer Brown sprays if field with pesticide, the number of grasshoppers will decrease. This will cause the population of the other organisms in the food chain to decrease as well because they depend on the grasshopper as prey. These animals will either migrate, hunt other prey or die. However, the grass population will increase as its no longer being eaten.

the Grass pop. will go up because there are no grasshoppers eating it. the same is true for the mushrooms. but the snake population will go down because there will be no grasshoppers to eat. i hope this is right and helps
