Nina had 9 apples to share with 5 of her friends. If all 6 people get an equal share, how many apples will each person get? How do you know?

Each person will get 1 apple and there will be 3 left. I know this because it is 6 people and if each person gets 1 apple there will only be 3 left. 9-6=3

Sorry but i can do 6/3equals 2 ,so each friend will get 2apples!!
