Compare the speaker and her beloved in sonnet 16 by elizabeth barrett browning. how do the poem's language and images affect your understanding of its two main figures? what is the central theme expressed in this work?

Respuesta :

In the Sonnet by Elizabeth Barret, I believe the speaker is giving herself to her lover. The lover has expelled any doubts that she may have had about him in the past and is ready to give herself to him. The speaker calling the beloved "noble" and "king" tells me that she believes the beloved is worthy. Even compares herself to a soldier surrendering to an opponet at one point.
