The U.S Supreme Court case that overturned Plessy v. Ferguson ruling that state-imposed segregation in schools isolated the equal protection clause of the fourteen amendment was the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, 347 U.S 483 in 1954 by Mr Chief Justice Warren who declared the opinion of the court.
