Rachel and Hugo sorted 236 crayons into boxes for a local arts project. Each box had 10 crayons. How many crayons were left over?

Respuesta :

This is a simple division problem. Since there are 236 crayons, in groups of ten, there will be 6 left over because there is a 6 in the ones place.
If the started off with 236 crayons into the boxes and each box had 10 crayons then you divide 236 and 10 which equals 23.6 rounded to 24 but i have no idea if that would be the correct answer
