16 thousand colonists rebelled against the taxes that were imposed by Britain, because of that they rallied shouting “no taxation without representation”. Patriots vandalized stores that sold British goods and intimidated merchants and their costumes.
Violence escalated and five colonists died, thirteen were arrested, including eight British soldiers, one officer, and four civilians.
