Desired based marketing messages hope to give their target consumer the desire to enter a store and purchase an item. An example of a desire based marketing strategy is sales or low product pricing. Consumers always want the best deal, although price may not be the main factor for all consumers, it is a large factor in deciding what products to purchase. When a store is advertising for a sale, they are building and bringing to light a desire a consumer has to save money on an item.
