How did the dutch and the iroquois differ in their views of the trading relationship? What factors contributed to these differences?

Hume
To the Indians, the Dutch were lacking in their honesty and manners of etiquette. As such, the Dutch often cheated the Iroquois in trade and through joining other Indian tribes against them in war. The Dutch did this out of their desire to trade with as many tribes as possible. On the other hand, the Iroquois often fought against the Dutch, albeit for short periods of time. They especially fought off other Indian tribes trading with the Dutch. They wanted to remain as the primary contact of the Dutch among other Indian tribes.
