The study of nursing theory is an important part of our nursing education. While it can be confusing and boring, theory provides students with knowledge that can be later applied to their practice areas. They help nurses use critical thinking skills, analytical skills and improve concept comprehension and improve patient care, patient outcomes, and nurse-patient communication (Petiprin, 2016). There are numerous nursing theories and while it seems that alltheories are the same, they are not. I fell that some of them are overlapping but are not the same.Every nursing theory is unique and focuses on a something different.
