Prime numbers have exactly two factors: 1 and the number itself. This is because prime numbers are divisible only by 1 and themselves, and no other numbers.   For example, let's take the prime number 7. Its factors are 1 and 7. We cannot divide 7 by any other number and get a whole number as a result. Therefore, 7 is a prime number with two factors.  Another example is the prime number 13. Its factors are 1 and 13. Again, we cannot divide 13 by any other number and get a whole number as a result. So, 13 is also a prime number with two factors.  In general, any prime number will have only two factors: 1 and the number itself. This is what makes prime numbers unique and different from other numbers.
