A factory has 115 ceiling fans in stock. If the factory can manufacture 12 fans each hour, how long would it take the factory to complete an order for 500 ceiling fans? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of an hour.

y = 12x + 115....where x is the number of hrs and y is the number of fans

an order for 500 fans...
500 = 12x + 115
500 - 115 = 12x
385 = 12x
385/12 = x
32.08 rounds to 32.1 <=== it would take 32.1 hrs
