Emancipation is the process of equalizing the basic, social and cultural rights of different races co-existing in one realm. African-americans and black americans faced much deal of trials after emancipation. Although in 1862, the slaves were emancipated, there were still cases of racisms. Nonetheless, bills pertaining to human rights were passed including the Civil Rights act of 1875 prohibiting the segregations of black americans to public utilities.
