Let's take 2 points on the graph, point A and point B (calculation will be approx)
A(19,41) and B(50, 76) [don't forget we are choosing the points with a certain approximation)
Slope = (76-41)/( 50-19), then slope m= 35/31 ≈ (1.12). Now let's find the equation y = mx +b, y = (1.12) x + b. To that end replace x and y by any of A or B, say A(19,41);
41 = 1.12(19) + b so b= 19.7
And the TREND LINE equatio become y = 1.12x + 19.7 , which looks very much as y = x + 20, so y=x + 20 is the line tat best represents the real trend line y ≈ 1.12 + 19.7
