most likely to be D.
of course this will be a personal choice.
if you think through it by option:
A- cannot be A as the thing with arab-Isreal peace is not really relevant every where else, if these countries are happy or not , the rest of the world is indifferent.
B- they are not democratic ... most of them live under dictatorships
C- very possible .. however, their agriculture is not very strong and they rely heavily on their oil resources, so probably not this one
D- they are oil rich , they are wealthy, not sure about westernised, but out of your options, this one seems more plausible

The correct answer is - A. Oil wealth and their role in the Arab- Israeli peace process.
The Arab Southwest Asia is a region of great importance globally speaking. Even though it is a region with pretty small population, and geographically it is a very inhospitable place, still this a region of great geopolitical value and importance. This is due to two factors:
1. This region has one of the biggest oil and gas reserves in the world, which are one of the basic energy resources and of great importance to whole of the world.
2. Their role in the Arab- Israeli peace process is also extremely important because this is an ongoing conflict that has to be managed carefully and very wisely, if not, it can be a start of a global war and that is something that no one wants to happen.
