The only line that is undefined is a vertical line because it has "infinite" slope.  It will always have the form of x=k.  It is undefined because infinite slope is undefined.  It is also the only line which is not a function.

Equation of a line with an undefined slope will be x = k, where k = integer.

  Expression for the slope of a line is given by,

Slope = [tex]\frac{\triangle y}{\triangle x}[/tex]

If [tex]\triangle x=0[/tex],

Slope of the line = [tex]\frac{\triangle y}{0}[/tex]

Here the slope of the line will be undefined.

Since, all the points lying on a vertical line will have same x-coordinates will give [tex]\triangle x=0[/tex].

Therefore, all lines perpendicular to x-axis or parallel to y-axis will have undefined slope and equation of the line will be x = k.

Where, k = Integer

    Hence, x = k, (k = all integers) will represent a line with undefined slope.
