1. A Farmer is planning to fence in a rectangular parcel of grassy land for his sheep pasture. The length of the pasture can either be 85 yards if he builds on the north side of his property or 78 yards if he builds on the south side. The width can be up to 50 yards for either parcel.
A. Write the equations for each possible pasture using a variable, 2, for the width. My Answer: An=85*W=X As=78*W=X

D. The Farmer decides that he wants to use the south side of his property and needs an area of 3510 square yards of pasture for his sheep. What will be the width of his pasture?
E. The Famer decides that he wants to use the north side of his property for the pasture for his sheep. What is the maximum possible area for the pasture?
