well the formula for area is A=LxW where L=length and W=width

so A=2.5(1) but this in inches so convert to feet

half inch=15 ft so 2.5 inches=[tex] \frac{2.5}{2} [/tex](15)=5(15)=75 ft

half inch=15 ft so 1 inch=2(15)=30ft

Now we can rewrite our area equation: A=(75ft)(30ft)=2250 ft²
