I already know what happened lol, men who still wanted alcohol went to speakeasies where they sold smuggled or "bootlegged" alcohol it was called bootlegged because smugglers would put the alcohol in their boots so they would not get caught. The Kennedys were a famous family that made early money from bootlegging alcohol during the ban. Many men would go to speakeasies to get alcohol so they would not have to quit drinking.
