The vaporization in a vessel is dependent on a few factors. Namely, these are the temperature, the pressure, the velocity of the air passing over the vessel and the surface area of the vessel. The last two factors come into play because evaporation is the dominant mechanism for vaporization and temperatures below the boiling point. Therefore, out of a given set of containers, kept at equal temperature, pressure and subjected to the same wind, the vessel with the greatest surface area will demonstrate the highest rate of vaporization.
