Ophelia had 64 ounces of milk to split among her 4 children.She poured an equal amount of milk into each of 8 glasses .If each of the 4 children received the same number of glasses of milk,how many ounces of milk did each child receive?

Mass(ounces) of milk in each glasses

  • mass of milk in each glass = 64 / 8 = 8 ounces

Now, each of the 4 children received the same number of glasses of milk, Therefore, the number of glasses of milk each children receive is as follows:

  • number of glasses of milk received by each child = 8 / 4 = 2 glasses

Since each glasses contains 8 ounces of milk, each child received 16 ounces of milk.
