I just did this question a few weeks ago.
This is what I put and I got all the points
You first mix salt and sand together in a jar and add water. You then mix it all together and let the salt fully dissolve in the water and let the sand settle and the bottom. You then filter the sand in a different cup. You filter it out with a paper filter and a filter. You put the paper in the filter to catch all the sand and have only the salt water. When you are done filtering it you put the salt water on a burner and let the water evaporate until you only have salt.
