Corrosion is a natural process that converts a  metal into a more chemically stable oxide. It causes deterioration of materials by chemical or electrochemical reaction happening in their environment.

Define relationship between corrosion and noble material? And describe the types of corrosion and how to prevent them?

The corrosion rate increases when the oxidation increases. But, noble materials have good rate of oxidation resistance. So, when oxidation increases, the environment causes slow corrosion.

Therefore, answer is noble material

An electrochemical cell requires two half cell. One half cell, having higher reduction potential undergoes reduction in the cell. Another half cell, having lower reduction potential undergoes oxidation in the cell. The cell potential will be positive in this case.

Therefore, answer is is the most positive emf

Types of corrosion are

1) Pitting corrosion is a corrosion that happens in a localized area. This corrosion caused holes or cavities in the material. Pitting is considered to be more dangerous because it is difficult to detect or predict.

2. Galvanic corrosion (also called ' dissimilar metal corrosion' or wrongly 'electrolysis') refers to corrosion damage between two non similar materials. It occurs when two (or more) dissimilar metals are brought into electrical contact under water.

Prevention of corrosion

Cohesion promotes attraction between dissimilar molecules. This is what prevents corrosion.

Required answer pitting and cohesion.
