Point M is the midpoint of point A and point B
What are the coordinate points of B

Answer:

  • Point B has coordinates of (7, 11)

The midpoint has average value of coordinates of endpoints.

It gives us the following equations:

  • ( - 2 + x)/2 = 2.5
  • - 2 + x = 5
  • x = 5 + 2
  • x = 7

and

  • (- 4 + y)/2 = 3.5
  • - 4 + y = 7
  • y = 7 + 4
  • y = 11

Point B is (7, 11).
