Write an equation to represent the cost ordering balloons from Balloons-R-Fun.

You and your friends are considering having balloons delivered to your favorite teacher on the last day of school. Ballons-R-Fun charges $1.25 per balloon and $6 delivery fee. Singing Balloons charges $1.45 per balloon and $2 for delivery fee. Use a system of equations to calculate what the cost will be if you ordered the same number of balloons from either service.

Ballons-R-Fun:

cost=(n x 1.25) + 6

Singing Balloons:

cost=(n x 1.45) + 2

* n = number of balloons

If this equation is used:

eg. 5 balloons were order.
Ballons-R-Fun:

cost=(n x 1.25) + 6
cost=(5x1.25) + 6

cost=12.25


Singing balloons:

cost=(n x 1.45) + 2
cost=(5x1.45) + 2

cost=9.25

therefore = singing balloons are cheaper.
