mitosis is a standard part of the cell cycle, the process that ensures DNA gets duplicated and shared to two daughter cells when a cell replicates. meiosis only occurs when a gamete, sex cell is made
The 3 differences between mitosis and meiosis are that mitosis produces body cells, it mainly helps people repair/heal and also grow, and it does this procedure when a cell divides into two daughter cells that are the same and that is called Cell Division. Meiosis on the other hand produces gamete cells examples are sperm in males and eggs in females is does this procedure where a cell divides 2x to produce 4 cells that contain half of the amount of genetic information, and meiosis has more stages/steps to produce gamete cells and sometimes it's more complicated than mitosis.
