What is reproductive health?
- In all aspects pertaining to the reproductive system including its activities and processes, reproductive health is a condition of whole physical, mental, and social well-being and not only the absence of disease or infirmity.
- In order to be in good reproductive health, a person must be able to have a fulfilling and safe sexual experience, be able to reproduce, and have the choice to choose whether, when, and how often to do so.
SMART objectives are:
Specific
- It makes sense to eat more healthfully.
- set concrete objectives like quitting soda, increasing your daily vegetable intake to five servings, or keeping your added sugar consumption to 30 grams.
Measurable
- Choose a target that is measurable.
- You can measure your success if you walk three days a week.
- Increased walking is a difficult goal to quantify.
Attainable
- Take care not to aim too much or too low.
- Consider yourself Goldilocks and seek out a target that feels exactly right.
Realistic
- It would be nice to lose 10 pounds per week. But because it's unachievable, you'll probably feel frustrated and be more likely to give up on your attempts.
- Setting achievable objectives will support your decision and keep you going forward.
- One pound every week of weight loss is a doable and attainable objective.
Trackable
- By selecting precise, quantifiable objectives, you can monitor your development over time.
- To keep track of your efforts and see your progress, journal about them or use an app.
