What is uniformitarianism?
The theory of uniformitarianism is the principle given by the Scottish Geologist Hutton that says that the present is the mirror to the history and the geological evolutions of the past eras.
Thus, the principle states that the geological process is continuous and constant rather than being broken or discontinuous.
