José Paolo Guerrero Gonzales (Lima, January 1, 1984) is a Peruvian soccer player. He plays as a striker and is currently without a team. He has been an international with the Peruvian national team since 2004, of which he is its captain and top scorer in history. He has played with Peru the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2019 Copa América, where he reached the final and finished as the tournament's top scorer. Guerrero was never able to debut in his native country due to the fact that in 2002 he was recruited by Bayern Munich, to play in the subsidiary, a team with which he would win the Regionaliga Sur, being the top scorer in the championship with 21 goals.
