  • Increase in tuition fees: This affects mostly the students for underprivileged families. Inability to pay their school fees can motivate the student to quit schooling.

  • lack of academic preparation: when the student is being pushed by his parents to enroll in studies he or she is not ready for, such can lead to quitting while just halfway into the academics.

  • Picking the wrong course: when a student discovers that the program is not what they wanted, they quit.

  • Family conflict: When there is lack of peace at home it may psychologically affect the student. This can make them quit the academic program.
