Mendel's principles of heredity apply to many organisms, including animals. For example, in guinea pigs, black fur (B) is dominant over white fur (b). What are the possible genotypes for fur in each of the two guinea pigs shown here?
Anyone with a capital B is going to be a black fur. The white is recessive so to achieve it both traits would have to be “bb” anything else including “BB” or “Bb” will be black.
