What is Douglass's purpose for writing? Give at least one of his purposes and USE evidence from the text (Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American slave) to support your answer. (This should take at least 3-4 sentences to answer.)

Respuesta :

Answer:

To spread his story and assist the abolitionist cause, as well as to counter early charges that someone so eloquent as he could not have been a slave. In his three narratives, and his numerous articles, speeches, and letters, Douglass vigorously argued against slavery. He sought to demonstrate that it was cruel, unnatural, ungodly, immoral, and unjust.
