During the course of one whole year, the sun wiggles north and south
between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
The equator is the line straight through the middle, exactly between
the two tropics.
So during the course of the whole year, on the average, the equator
is the line where the concentration of sunlight is the greatest.
