I did a presentation on him. Here are some points I have gathered up for you:
•Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706.

• He was a self-taught student, and Honorary L.L.D. Edinburgh in 1759.

•Franklin had many jobs including: inventor, Politian, librarian, firefighter, & publisher!

• Ben Franklin was the 15th child of 17 siblings

Something else- he had two birthdays! Jan 6 on his birth certificate, but changed to Jan 17 because of a leap year!

•Franklin represented the state of Pennsylvania in the Constitutional convention

•Benjamin Franklin believed that people should choose the government.

Franklin believed that everyone and every state should be represented equally in parliament.

•Although he did not approve of everything in it, Franklin approved of and signed the constitution.

Franklin believed that power should be divided equally between states and federal government.

•Franklin believed that the constitution was not without its flaws, but it was as good as it was going to get. He signed the constitution and even wrote a speech to persuade the others to sign it as well.

Did you know Franklin invented the swimming fins, and bifocals?
