The surface area of this solid prism is

Where, P is the perimeter of the base, B is the area of the base and h is the height of the prism.

Perimeter of the base is:

[tex]P=24[/tex]

Area of the base is:

[tex]B=\dfrac{1}{2}\times base\times height[/tex]

[tex]B=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 8\times 6[/tex]

[tex]B=24[/tex]

Putting [tex]P=24[/tex] and [tex]B=24[/tex] in the formula for area, we get

[tex]A=(24)\times 9+2(24)[/tex]

[tex]A=216+48[/tex]

[tex]A=264[/tex]

Therefore, the surface area of the given prism is 264 m².
