Respuesta :
Ptolemy used unsystematic research, while Kepler proved his theories with mathematics.
While Copernicus rightly mentioned that the planets revolve around the Sun, it was Kepler who perfectly represented their orbits. In an attempt to prove his theory, Brahe gathered extensive enormous records, which Kepler ultimately used to prove heliocentrism and to calculate the orbital laws.
Answer and Explanation
Ptolemy was an astronomer and a mathematician and a geographer. His belief on the nature of the earth was based on its position on universe. And on this he believed that the center of universe was earth. In proofing his theory Ptolemy he. didn't use scientific methodology.
Johannes Kepler was a mathematician astronomer and astrologer. In his theory on how the the planet speed varied he had to compile his records and also to calculate the orbital laws. Kepler his theories using mathematics because mostly they were based on calculations
